Scott Carver Dakota Community Action Partnership - Esperanza-CAP

Scott Carver Dakota Community Action Partnership is pleased to announce our recent acquisition of Esperanza, a community organization serving our Latinx neighbors. Esperanza, “hope” in Spanish, was acquired by CAP Agency in June 2020. Like other organizations in Minnesota providing food security, CAP is experiencing an increased demand for food as a result of the financial impact of COVID-19. CAP’s Food Shelf distributions have increased 234 percent between July 2019 and July 2020. Likewise, Senior Nutrition, our hot meal delivery services for home-bound seniors, has seen a 184 percent increase over the same period. Trends show the need for food has grown exponentially since April of 2020. This merger demonstrates CAP Agency’s commitment and strengthens our ability to reach more underserved populations in the community.
