This special event will begin at Madden’s Conference Center at 9:00a.m. on Tuesday, August 24th and end at noon on Wednesday, August 25th. “The History and Philosophy of Community Action” is a training session developed to inform participants about the background and history of community action. This in-depth seminar explores the roots and changing nature of poverty since 1960, considers the political forces against which community action agencies have always struggled to survive, and examines the critical turning points in the history of community action.

The 2010 conference activities will begin at Madden’s Conference Center at 1:00p.m. on Wednesday, August 25th and end at noon on Friday, August 27th. The theme this year is “Appreciating Diversity: Eliminating Poverty”. Our Kick-off Keynote will be David Bradley, Executive Director of the National Community Action Foundation (NCAF). Plus we have numerous workshops to sit in on and enjoy. We look forward to seeing you in August at Madden’s!
